PLANS TO CONTINUE ACADEMIC COURSES ABROAD IN SEPTEMBER 2020
April 29, 2020
The reason that led to the creation of ASEPROCE, more than 30 years ago, was the professionalization of this sector, and over the years we have worked not only in this regard, but also to guarantee the security, legality and compliance with current regulations by the companies organizing courses and programs abroad, having implemented in 2013 the so-called Quality Standard ASEPROCE, And it is precisely this Standard that its associates have had and continue to have in mind when acting towards all their students in the current circumstances, ensuring their well-being, so that the programs can be developed with the maximum guarantees and always respecting the standards established in the destination countries.
In the current scenario, everything indicates that the academic courses abroad that will begin in September will be able to take place and foreign organizations are working to ensure that this happens.
The start of academic courses remains unchanged at this time and the organizations in the destination are carrying out placements with families and schools in accordance with the regulations applicable in each country receiving students.
In the case of the United States, the State Department has taken measures to inspect families in the current context and American organizations are issuing documentation so that students can proceed in time to complete the paperwork and visa procedures as soon as the embassies open in the coming weeks.
For their part, Canadian authorities and educational institutions are regularly monitoring the registration of students at study centres and at the same time continuing to quickly and efficiently assign host families to students and process visas.
In other countries that traditionally receive students, such as the United Kingdom, Ireland and Switzerland (among others), measures have also been implemented to guarantee and enable academic courses to begin on the scheduled dates, establishing, in some cases, social distancing rules that will not differ much from what happens in our country.
All member companies of ASEPROCE are required to include students in medical, travel assistance and civil liability insurance, which ensures that students are fully covered for any needs they may have.
The project of undertaking an academic year programme abroad is, without a doubt, one of the best educational, linguistic and personal project experiences for any student. The education and training of our children now, more than ever, should not be undermined by temporary conditions that will be counterbalanced by the professionalism of educational organisations in Spain and abroad that have adopted countless measures that will guarantee the success of this programme that for more than 40 years has sent thousands of students to have the best year of their lives.
