ChangeMakers Activities
We want this trip to be truly transformative, so we’re not content with typical activities. Instead, we’ve designed a Changemaker Plan with activities linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- Exploring Nature Reserves
- Climate Action Activities
- Visit to the Oceanarium
- Eco-Days at the Beach
Classes in Nature
Classes outside the classroom! On the beach or in the countryside, with activities, games, and quizzes related to nature, marine life, the environment, sustainability, and climate change:
- Beach School Experience at Hengistbury Head
- Weymouth Sea Life Excursion
- Forest School Experience in the New Forest
- Forest Towns Excursion to Salisbury
Hengistbury Head is a fascinating place not only for its wide variety of habitats, including heathland, grassland, scrubland, woodland, freshwater wetlands, and coastal areas, but also for its internationally important archaeology and geology.
Its visitor center was created to help explain the area, its history, wildlife, archaeology, and geology to visitors. Packed with interactive exhibits and assisted by friendly volunteers, it’s a wonderful way to step back in time and see how our ancestors lived.
Weymouth Sea Life is an incredible marine life conservation and study area. With 13 different themed areas home to some 2,500 creatures, you’ll immerse yourself in ocean life like never before.
New Forest National Park includes large expanses of grassland, heathland, and ancient woodland, located in the highly populated area of southeastern England. We’ll discover the importance of nature and its conservation, and all we can do to keep our ecosystems healthy and thriving.
Salisbury is a historic city in Wiltshire, famous for its half-timbered houses and atmospheric medieval streets, but it’s also especially popular for its unique shops and many restaurants. Another of the city’s attractions is its Gothic cathedral, where you’ll find the world’s best-preserved Magna Carta and the oldest clock in Europe.
Social activities in the afternoons
We have plenty of plans for the afternoons. Explore the city and its surrounding areas, play sports, and do activities like soccer and volleyball on the beach, among others. We’ll do whatever free time we have from the many excursions we have planned.

- SOUTHAMPTON. YES, after visiting the Titanic Museum, we’ll also go shopping.
BLASHFORD LAKES NATURE RESERVE. We’ll explore local ecosystems and wildlife in these tranquil lakes, surrounded by forests, reed beds, and grasslands. - SALISBURY. This small medieval city is famous for its Gothic cathedral, but also for its location in the heart of the English countryside.
