Why choose the summer English course in Cambridge?
The amazing plan we’ve put together isn’t just a simple summer English course in Cambridge; it’s a pre-university experience you’ll enjoy at one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
- You’ll participate in the University Open Day: an annual event that allows students and their families to learn about everything this institution has to offer. This is a unique opportunity to explore the campus, learn about degree programs, student services, scholarships, and even meet and interact with faculty.
- You’ll visit Cambridge Colleges: discover the inside of one of the world’s most famous universities. Open days will allow you to explore the inside of some of its most famous and spectacular colleges.
- Punting on the legendary River Cam: Who doesn’t know about the rowing duels between Oxford and Cambridge? You’ll experience the thrill of sailing on the River Cam—come and discover it!
- Tours about incredible people: Cambridge is a city steeped in history and where science is present in every corner. Founded in 1209, the university has hosted 90 Nobel Prize winners, 123 Olympic medalists, and personalities such as Joan Robinson, Isaac Newton, Arianna Huffington, Charles Darwin, Erasmus of Rotterdam, Hertha Ayrton, Lord Byron, and Stephen Hawking, who taught at the university for 30 years.
And don’t miss all the #ChangeMaker activities we’ve prepared.
ChangeMaker Activities
We want this trip to be truly transformative, so we’re not content with the typical activities of a summer trip to the UK. Instead, we’ve designed a Changemaker Plan with activities linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so you can join the global community:
Volunteering
You will participate as support staff in the “Race for Life,” a race organized by the British Cancer Society.
Sustainable Mobility
For our excursions, we travel by public transportation to learn how to navigate a big city using the train, bus, and subway. The future of mobility!
Incredible Walking Tours
Uncomfortable Cambridge: Discover the stories of the struggles, conflicts, and hidden achievements that allowed Cambridge to become the city it is today.
Museum visits to explore beyond the obvious. Take a fresh look at science and art at Cambridge’s legendary museums.
Fun Activities
From Monday to Friday, there are cultural visits (Ely Cathedral, King’s College, Scott Polar Museum, etc.), sports activities (punting on the River Cam, bowling, etc.), and recreational activities (karaoke, concerts, etc.).
London Tours
The College
Our school is located in a beautiful Victorian-style building within walking distance of the station and the center of Cambridge. It has eight modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards, a library, a computer lab, a terrace, and a cafeteria.
Accommodation and food
You’ll experience everyday British life by living with a local family. You’ll share a double room with another person from your own group or an international student.
The program includes full board, with breakfast and dinner with the family and lunch at the college. On weekends, you’ll receive full board with the family and a packed lunch on field trips.
